Frequently asked questions
How do PVC pins differ from enamel ones?
Enamel pins are metal — they have metallic outlines and a shine. PVC pins are made of soft rubber: they're lighter, flexible, matte and pleasant to the touch, and the colours fill the whole surface without metal outlines. They shine where safety matters (kids, events) and where a fun, "soft" graphic character fits best.
How many colours can a design use?
As standard, up to 10 colours per design — each matched from the Pantone palette, so your brand colours are reproduced very accurately. Smooth tonal transitions (gradients) aren't possible: every colour is a separate PVC layer.
Are PVC pins durable?
Yes — soft PVC doesn't shatter or chip and handles drops and squeezing well, and the colours are dyed through the material so they don't rub off. The only thing the material dislikes is long exposure to high heat, e.g. being left in the sun behind a car windscreen.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
The minimum order is 50 pieces and production takes 25–35 working days from design approval. You'll get a quote with a visual within 24 hours of sending your enquiry.
Which clasps are available?
The same as on metal pins: the classic butterfly clutch, a rubber clutch (safer for children and delicate fabrics), a safety pin and a magnet that doesn't make holes in clothing.
